American Voices


Inspired by National Poetry Month, Center Dance Ensemble shares new works choreographed to the words of America’s great poets. The program includes a performance by Dance Theater West and readings by high-school finalists from the “Poetry Out Loud” regional competition.

Pat’s Run


More than 35,000 runners and walkers participate in this annual 4.2-mile run/walk honoring the late football star Pat Tillman. The race, which winds through downtown Tempe and finishes at the stadium, includes a 0.42-mile kids’ run. The distance pays tribute to Tillman’s Sun Devil jersey number. Proceeds support the Tillman Military Scholars program.

Celebrity Softball 


Watch celebrities hit home runs and catch pop flies like the pros do as the Larry Fitzgerald Double Play Celebrity Softball Game gets underway. Proceeds benefit Fitzgerald’s First Down Fund, which supports nonprofit organizations assisting children and families in need throughout the country.
