As part of The Phoenix Symphony’s 70th Anniversary Season, the beloved New Year’s Eve Gala returned last year in spectacular fashion, dazzling guests with festivities and music. Due to overwhelming demand, the Gala will take place again on December 31, 2018.
Ring in 2019 with The Phoenix Symphony at Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. The magical evening begins at 8 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a sit-down, three-course gourmet dinner. The highlight of the evening will be the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dance into the New Year with the full Phoenix Symphony orchestra. A champagne toast, delectable desserts and many other surprises will delight guests throughout this special celebration.
The Phoenix Symphony announced that Sharon and Dr. Oliver (“Ollie”) Harper are the 2018 Honorary Chairs. Sharon, the CEO and co-founder of Plaza Companies, has been a staunch supporter of community causes. Most recently, she was named Woman of the Year by Valley Leadership. In addition to his role as Chair of The Phoenix Symphony’s Board of Directors, Dr. Harper, a family physician with a subspecialty in geriatric medicine, is on faculty at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine Phoenix. Both Sharon and Ollie received the Phoenix Theatre’s 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award.

All proceeds from the New Year’s Eve Gala benefit The Phoenix Symphony’s community outreach and education programs, which bring the joy of music to over 125,000 children and adults in hospitals, homeless shelters, schools and the concert hall each year.
