It’s been a hectic few months, but somehow you’ve managed to host a Halloween party, prepare a Thanksgiving feast, decorate the tree and house, send holiday greeting cards, visit ZooLights, find and wrap the perfect presents, bake gingerbread and take the kids and Fido to see Santa. You deserve a break, so why not consider dining out on Christmas Day? From casual to extravagant, here are some suggestions.

The culinary wizards at Talavera, located in The Four Seasons Resort, Troon, are preparing an elegant Christmas Dinner Buffet. From noon through 6 p.m., the festive spread includes winter salads, charcuterie, cheese and antipasti as well as a chilled raw seafood bar. Stations for preparing creamy raclette cheese and crêpes à la Orange will be made-to-order. A grand spread from the carve station will offer rib roast, snapper and leg-of-lamb. There’s even a “Kids Corner” to cater to the young’uns food preferences. At Hearth ’61, the signature restaurant at Mountain Shadows, the team will be serving a specialty four-course Christmas Day menu. Spotlighting seasonal starters, Chef Charles Wiley will offer Duck Confit Risotto with sun-dried cherries, goat cheese and pistachio or his much lauded butterkin squash soup with spiced pecan, roasted apples and crème fraîche. A choice of refreshing salads is followed by entrées such as prime rib of beef with smashed fingerling potatoes and lemon and parmesan broccolini or honey glazed Niman Ranch Ham with savoy cabbage, turnips and bacon. The dessert choices are pumpkin cheesecake, warm flourless chocolate cake or brown butter apple tart with vanilla bean ice cream. he culinary team at LON’S dishes up both Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner. Both are a three-course menu with a variety of options. This year’s holiday menu features Arizona-style cuisine: cauliflower-horseradish soup, and crisp pork belly starters alongside entrées like roasted Petaluma chicken, grilled Tomahawk pork chop and butternut squash risotto. For dessert, you can enjoy your choice of either date-rum cake, pavlova or cinnamon churros. Celebrating over 40 years on the southwest corner of Camelback and 32nd Streets, Chef Tomaso Maggiore serves quality Italian food and wine with a generous dose of Old-World hospitality. Open on Christmas Day from noon to 9:30 p.m., Tomaso’s will be serving its regular à la carte menu. Enjoy such favorites as veal osso buco over risotto Milanese, seven fish cioppino, with lobster tail, sea bass, clams, mussels, sea scallops, shrimp and  Dungeness crab in a tomato wine sauce served on linguine or the best ever lasagna. T. Cook’s, at the Royal Palms Resort & Spa, offers two options for holiday dining. On both Christmas Eve, from 4:30 – 9 p.m., and Christmas Day, beginning at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., Executive Chef Todd Allison has created a three-course prix-fixe menu. Begin your meal with sunchoke soup served  with buttered poached Maine lobster. Entrée choices include pan-seared jumbo scallops, grilled filet mignon and cedar-roasted duck breast. From 1 to 9 p.m., the holiday-inspired dishes include monkey bread French toast with marinated berries and goat cheese caramel, smoked salmon with lemon cream cheese, sage-brined turkey, cast iron-seared duck breast, prime rib roast with horseradish potato purée and béarnaise sauce and a fig and orange-glazed ham with roasted baby carrots, smashed fingerling potatoes and kumquat jam. Looking for something a bit more casual? Tommy V’s is serving a three-course dinner from noon to 9 p.m. First course choices include risotto with artichokes, pasta e fragioli or mozzarella Caprese. For the main course, there’s Zinfandel-braised short ribs with asiago and spinach gnocchi, salmon Genovese with artichokes, lemon, capers in a white wine sauce or  grilled pork chops served with spicy spaghetti. The Camby Hotel’s Christmas Brunch Buffet will be returning to Artizen with a menu full of seasonal flavors. There’s a sweet potato and roasted cauliflower salad with pomegranate seeds drizzled with sherry vinaigrette. Coffee agave-roasted baby carrots shine alongside delicious servings of the prime rib roast or fig and orange glazed ham from the carving station. ZuZu and SANDS

Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale is spreading the holiday cheer with dining options on Christmas Day. Enjoy a special buffet in the Sands from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., that includes charcuterie, seafood, prime rib, ham with apple butter, local veggies and chocolate peppermint cheesecake. ZuZu is open all day, serving its seasonal menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
